Goodness! That purple Intend can make even a logging-slash-lean sexy ;-)

built this up last season, running it 160/160 right not but I've been riding hardtails a lot more recently so it'll probably get bumped up to 175/180 in the spring to differentiate more. had been drooling over all of Intend's stuff for years, and initially was looking at one for this but was disappointed when I realized they didn't do anodized colors anymore, then like a week later they announced the limited edition colors and I couldn't help myself. I already had the pink accents planned so the purple stood out a bit, but when Hayes did the similarly limited edition purple dominions, which I had already been thinking about getting a pair of, it was meant to be.

need to get some better angles once spring rolls around and the sun comes out again

Woof! That's gorgeous!

A purple coil would not look out of place on that rig.

Ooh, yes. Is Formulas shade a match?

I don't know if they are any good but I have seen them online here: https://www.hosnti.com/product/anodized-titanium-coil-spring-for-downhill-racing/

That Knolly is sick.  The updates to the new one that just dropped look good too, although the sizing is nuts. When the new Fugitive comes out I will probably try to get one.

In retrospect, I may have bitten off too many 2024 full suspension projects. Not pictured: restomod Trek Diesel and friend's WAO arrival.Photo

Now that you've bitten them, keep us updated on the progress, I enjoy a build sequence - especially with used parts and bodges.

A hold-over from last year;

Posted by: fartymarty

I have my 10Zee Murmur setup as follows - Shimano 4100 11-42 cassette, 30t chainring, HG95 chain - with two links removed. This allows it to work in the 11 cog without getting saggy. BUT you will rip the mech off if you bottom in the 42. My logic is that I should never be bottoming in the 42 AND if I do it's my fault for not remembering. I only use the 42 for really steep pitches therefore never likely to bottom anyway. IIRC I have to run a longer B tension screw to crank a bit more tension into the chain. I've run it like this for a few years now with no issues.

Thanks Marty; that's pretty much what I found. Running a 28t oval ring though. With custom "anodizing" by Sharpie. I was hoping for more brown to match the collar/headset/grips; the kids have a whole bag of options to try though.

No worries - sorry for the late reply, i've been hardtail' a lot and ignoring the Murmur (which is currently being rebuilt).  I'm just about to bump my forks back up to 160mm.  We're doing the Mega this year so will need all the travel I can get.

Have been watching Nick's (Van Can) new build and ride video so the FS stoke is returning.

It’s not in my hands yet, but my SST is ready to go and on its way! Beyond stoked with how it turned out, now to wait very patiently for spring…Headbadge

Oooh, that's tasty.  Can't wait to see it built.

Re-built Murmur with 160 up front.  I just need to swap out the pink grips for some purples.

I thought maybe we'd see a new frame colour.

Weather here continues to be abnormal, to say the least...

Not this time, I quite like the colour - next time I will probably get it properly done and maybe gloss rather than matt.

I do like it at 160 though.  I think it goes well with the 140 rear.
