Great trip down memory lane. I remember a still from that huge drop being
featured in an issue of BIKE. It was mesmerizing to look at. (Still is!)
Front-on shot of Bender, with the shadow of his bike on the wall to the
reader's left. It really conveyed how freaking huge that is.
The geo on that old Karpiel is really fantastic, too, isn't it?
I created a Bender thread back in september of 2012 that has some cool info in
it. He's back in the scene, and was working with the Red Bull build crew for
Rampage 2012.
Did he ever end of doing that 100′ drop he was hyping up…? I heard he broke
his back, and haven't heard about him since other than that he made a-mostly-
full recovery.

I always liked Bender. He had a cool attitude, and massive cojones. Good to see he's back in the scene.
