Weekend Warmup #191

DIG LOCALS - CONNOR HAGEN - X-Ray's

From Dig BMX: “Bikes, spots, homies, and a set of pegs is essentially all I need. Despite dealing with some injuries, hence the video title, we managed to create a video that encompasses all those things. Therefore, I’m stoked to present you with X-Ray’s. Filmed by the homies, in the 2023 season in Edmonton, Alberta! Enjoy!”

How We Roll | Season 2 | Banjos & Maple Syrup | Episode 6

From Canyon Bicycles: It’s the final stretch of the 2023 season and a slightly trimmed FMD Racing head stateside for the Snowshoe World Cup and then onwards to Canadian hills of Mont St Anne for the final race of the downhill season where the whole squad aim to end in style. Snowshoe holds up as Rudi and Phoebe’s nemesis making it a battle for them once again whilst Tahnée Seagrave finds a true turning point of her season in Snowshoe allowing her to push further in her craft and make another stamp on her recovery and ‘return-to-racing’ process.

World Record Highest Snowboard Air

From Red bull Snow: On Friday, April 12 Australian Valentino Guseli set the new world record for the highest snowboard air on a hip at a stratospheric 11.5 meters (37.72 feet) at the Swatch Nines in Schilthorn, Switzerland. Val beat the old record, previously held and set by Switzerland's Christian Haller in Watles, Italy back in 2016.

Nina Kraviz in the mountains | The Unlimited Festival x blackcrows

From Black Crows: Nina Kraviz in the mountains. Au cœur de Chamonix, at the Unlimited Festival, ski, elements, music and for a conversation with the original crow

Leave It to Beavers

From Patagonia: In the absence of actual beavers, beaver dam analogs are convincing imitations that can spur the processes needed to recreate complex, healthy meadows with improved spawning habitat for steelhead, Chinook salmon and other species. If all goes according toplan, a passing beaver might see these human-made dams, complemented by the soft, pooling water they love, and think, "This is nice … but I could do better." The hope is they’ll stick around. Watch the Oregon Hand Crew as they weave wood and mud into beaver dam replicas to revive cold water habitats and restore the fish population in the headwater meadows of Oregon’s North Fork John Day River.

The All-New Kona Ouroboros

From Kona Bicycles: The Ouroboros is an all-new platform of gravel bikes from the unbound minds at Kona. Whether you’re a gravel-loving mountain biker or a mountain-bike-loving gravel biker, the Ouroboros is the lure to catch the attention of both. Pack it expertly for the long haul, nimbly explore the edges of singletrack or complete multiple days of the most wonderfully weird and delightfully chaotic of events – the Ouroboros is intentionally designed around the rowdy stuff.

CULTCREW/ AUSxBNE

From Cult Crew: AUS x BNE... we got a heavy crew down under... Pat Freyne plugged us up with big salad behind the lens and they cruised around Brisbane with some new aus riders and banged this out in just 8 days... they fucking crushed it

Adidas Skateboarding Presents /// Lil Dre in Los Angeles

From Adidas: Lil Dre, Marcos Montoya, and Nikolai Piombo in LA for Dre’s Centennial 85 Low ADV. Debuting in 1985, the Centennial is a hardcourt classic. Inspired by archival basketball but made for skateboarding, Dre’s Centennial Low gets the ADV treatment. Crafted with a mix of durable split suede, nubuck, and air mesh rubber for the upper, with pops of muted pink and a reflective heel detail.

FURIOUS IN L2A - Frix & Howey

From Arcteryx: Autumn 1958. Val-David, the cradle of climbing in Quebec. Two daring young climbers embark on the ascent of a route that seemed unattainable, resembling a roof suspended in the air, defying all the conventions of the time. It only takes one attempt for the lead climber to leave his mark: henceforth known as "Le Toit de Ben".

Extreme Beachcombing

EXTREME BEACHCOMBING is an intimate portrait of retired plumber John Anderson and his 46-year obsession with collecting manmade objects that wash up on the obscure beaches of the Pacific Northwest. Narrated entirely by John himself, this poetic and philosophical documentary short includes images, items, and stories from his one-of-a-kind Beachcombing Museum in Forks, Washington, culminating in a raw, firsthand look at what he calls "extreme beachcombing."
