I remember the first time I discovered B&A trail on Eagle Ridge in Coquitlam. I had just cruised down Randys when I spied some new trail work. There was a log about 50 meters long that you rode that finishing off with a 1 meter wheelie drop. Wow stunts on Eagle Ridge, I was stoked. The rest of the trail consisted of skinnies and two more old growth log crossings. Towards the end of the trail the path was more of a muddy stream. It needed work.

Hanging out at the The Ridge bike shop, I heard talk of new building on this trail. New stunts! With new enthusiasm I flew down Randy's and started riding B and A. Things had changed ALOT. The top of the trail had big-ass A frames, big drops and a very freaky teeter-totter. After the teeter-totter (Never to be cleaned by moi.) I came to a beautiful sight, "The Ewok Village." I had to pinch my-self, partly because I enjoy pain, and also to see if I was dreaming. Ramps, ladders and A-frames as far as the eye could see. In a word: nirvana.
Then in late 2000 the trail came down. Parklane Homes was building further up the hill and would be using the area (It is their property). The builders of this trail knew from the start that this land would be developed. That's OK. It's like the love of a woman; it is a wonderful thing when you have it but you remind yourself that life will have to go on if and when she leaves. The love affair with B&A lasted for 5 years, and what a wonderful 5 years it was.
