The Claw Re-Signs with Sombrio

Darren Berrecloth and Sombrio join forces for another couple years of heavy hitting riding and killer lines. Sombrio is proud to announce that Darren – the Claw – is back in our stable of Cartel Riders. Darren has maintained his reputation as one of the world’s best freeride mountain bike athletes and spends time roaming the planet looking for new gravity fuelled challenges. Sombrio’s roots are firmly planted in freeride with founder and owner, Dave Watson, having played an important role in the birth and evolution of freeride on the North Shore and around the world.

Darren’s achievements are impressive to say the least. Monster Park Champion two years in a row, Crankworx Whistler Champion, Adidas Slopestyle Champion three years in a row, voted rider of the year two years in a row at the Bike Magazine awards and the list goes on. Darren had this to say when asked about re-signing with Sombrio, “Stoked to be part of a company that sparked the free ride scene right here at home.” Definitely a purveyor of the two-wheel culture!
