Old Man Miller

A few months ago the great Colin Miller had his 40th. It was on a snowy February day and I couldn't make it. The next time I could get away was Good Friday. I got bad back Cammy mac and old man Miller together for a Sunshine Coast ride. We got to the ferries an hour early but it was full so Cam and I called Colin and he was barely out of his home in Squamish - strange considering how early he normally is. He invited us up for some fresh loam. We found the old man doing his crossword puzzles, sipping prune juice and relaxing in his Depends at the old folks home in Brittania.

After he trimmed his ear hairs we headed out for an epic 4 hour tour of some of Squamish's best 'all mountain rides'. I can't remember the names of most of them - but they all had soft earth, lots of flow, a hell of a lot of good grunting on single track and tonnes of opportunities to chase the old man in high speed downhill runs. He may be old but he still rips harder than ever. Here's some pics of the birthday ride:

me on the new loam trail bridge. We were gonna build a booter at the top of this bridge and use the bridge to land the 20 X 20 drop then...

Look at all that soft loam. CBC it ain't.
