Wham Bam

Wham Bam 2007,
Brought out the old dusty boots for another season of riding. Rolled out of Van City sunday morning with Jay and Ian from NSMB, and Ryan Meyer took the fourth seat in the team Toyota. Our first destination was Seattle where we met up with the Go Huck Yourself crew, and rode some bmx track where all the locals taught us how to ride without pedaling.?.? it's harder than it sounds. We headed over to the skate barn where they have a indoor skate park, but no barn, unfortunately. We watched all the U.S talent. Ryan Meyer was biking good on the big box. We met up with crazy Ed, that mofo. Ed and his wife Beck are really nice, and they showed us to the nearest Denny's. They invited us for a sleepover, and as usual woke up alone. But soon accompanied by the puppies. Later that morning we rolled into Portland and found the Hindsight Indoor Motocross Track, where everybody could hold a shovel was working frantically to get the jumps dialed. It wasn't long before everyone dropped in and started rolling on rims. It wasn't long before me and my two shocks felt compressed out of place. But thanks to Jay, he lent my his P3 and i started trying to learn how to ride it. It ended up taking me for more of a ride. But anyway, by the end of the first night we were seeing all kinds of tricks being thrown down all over the place. People were t-whiping and threeing the first step down and going off everywhere. We left the venue all felling very inspired and very tierd. After a good nights sleep at the Travel Lodge in Burnside we headed back for the second and final day. The course was finally finished and tweaked to perfection, the camera's were snaping and the people started to pile in. Finals ended up being crazy. Even the am's were blowing my mind. The talent there was amazing. But as always the main event was the clincher. The pros started there runs and the place started going crazy. Name it and it was being thrown by someone somewhere. Everything from backflip the step down into frontflip the first jump to Cam's winning run which consitsted of a three the step down into corkflip, into whip, into three whip, into bar spin out of the wall, finally finishing with a three off the van. Heck, its hard to just picture it in your head! But I would like to give a big high five to Ian and Ryan for both doing very well and throwing out some really good runs and Thanks to Jay for baby sitting us all for the whole trip. And thanks to everybody who made the trip what it was and making it possible. Now get out there and ride! Taker easy.
