Sure nsmb.com is more of a freeride destination - but we're okay with you wearing lycra.  Let it all hang out.  Ian Hyland's winning shot is a surprise when you look at the hucks and spins it was up against.  It's all mountain biking though and in our eyes it's all good.

I just really like this photo. The depth of field and the diagonal line the riders create really stands out. Also the look of determination on Carl Decker's face as he tries to stay on Matt Martindill.

The bridesmaid...

First runner up by Pedro Cury. This is another good shot, and it's nice to see some stuff from south america. I've been watching Pedro's work improve over the last couple of years and while I don't look at the photographers names while I'm judging, I was stoked to see that this shot was from him.

Second runner up. Dust, not enough photographers shoot dust. This shot really invoked a feeling in me. You know when you're flying down a trail behind someone and you can't see anything except dust and your eyes are stinging and you hope you don't hit something you can't see. That kind of a feeling.
