Tarek Rasouli injured


Reports started to trickle in Wednesday that a rider had been hurt in the Kamloops area. When the rumours were sorted the sad news surfaced that Tarek Rasouli had suffered a spinal injury. At this time the extent of the injury hasn't been confirmed. Tarek has undergone surgery in Vancouver where he remains in hospital. Those who know Tarek haven't been surprised to find his spirit intact.

Tarek, a native of Germany, was filming near Sun Peaks for Bjørn Enga's next film. Shooting had been wrapped for the day when Tarek hit a jump one last time and crashed.

After being crowned German BMX champ Tarek caught the freeriding bug and attracted the attention of high profile sponsors like Rocky Mountain, Race Face, Red Bull, Spy, Giro and Camelbak.

Everyone at nsmb is rooting for Tarek, by all accounts one of the nicest guys to ride a bike.
