| Sun Peaks High-Roller Ride

The events team at Sun Peaks Resort is pleased to announce an event in the bike park, that is free, fun and open to all levels of Riders. On Saturday July 30th the first ever Bike Park Hi-Roller event is set to take place. Who needs poker, when you can roll and win!
The concept is simple, pick up your Hi-Roller card from the tent at Time to Ride on Saturday and head up the lift to explore the bike park. As riders make there way around the trail network they are going to find high roller stations (strategically placed at popular rest spots). Grab the dice, make your roll and get it recorded on your roller card. Turn in the card at the end of the day and be eligible to win $1,000 cash or a set of Rock Shox Pikes (3 up for grabs), as well as a ton of prizes from SRAM.
As well make sure you take in some of the tunes that DJ’s will be spinning at the bottom of the lift all day long. The awards are planned to take at Time to Ride at the end of the day.
Saturday July 30th is also going to be the official opening day for Steam Shovel, Sun Peaks’ newly completed Dirt Jump trail. This trail descends 2000ft from the top of the Sunburst chair, and is entirely machined built. After a couple runs on this new line, you’ll be jumping better than the General Lee!
On Sunday July 31st, the park is going to be opened up for the ladies with the first ever ‘Ladies Ride Free Day’. The number of female riders on the slopes has increased dramatically this season, and the resort would like to send out an open invitation for more female riders to experience the bike park at Sun Peaks Resort. This is also a great chance to get signed up for one the many camps, clinics or tours that will be geared specifically for the ladies on this day.
