Gobsmacked in Saalbach
Adidas Slopestyle goes down and around and upside down...

It was straight out of a Canadian beer commercial. 5:30 in the morning
at Flo's Harley bar in Saalbach and we Canadians are shoulder to shoulder and,
when not distracted by the carnage happening around us, transfixed by the Oilers
beating up on the Canes. It was a fitting end to a day that can't be fully
communicated without some clichés; gladiators in full battle rage, Kamikaze
pilots doing what they must, competitors leaving nothing on the field.
The level of riding reached further into the ridiculous zone with massive blind
backflips, 360s off huge drops and some front flips for flavour. We've
got some road to cover today but we'll be back with a full report as soon as
we can. In the meanwhile we hope this and some shots will be a worthy
appetizer.
