The Life of Ryan
What has Ryan Leech been up to lately?

Ryan Leech is always a busy guy. This summer he was hardly home long enough to do laundry. Instead he was travelling around to events and doing shows all over Western Canada and the U.S. Then, on September 6th Ryan married his girlfriend of 5 years who now goes by the name of Caryn Leech. The happy couple packed up their bikes and spent 3 weeks sidehopping around B.C. - a trials honeymoon.

Before that Ryan had to wrestle with a life changing decision. In 2001 Ryan filled in for a 'bicycle artist' at the Cirque Du Soleil show in Orlando Florida. Shortly before his marriage Ryan was offered a full time position with the Cirque. In the end he "respectfully declined the offer. I love my lifestyle right now, I love my home (BC rocks), and I love riding when I want, and where I want. So there are absolutely no regrets in my mind."

Ryan and Caryn tied the knot on Thetis Island.

Lately Ryan has been slaving over a hot Mac, working on the final edit of his first film; Manifesto. This isn't your average bouncy trials flick; Ryan's goal - his Manifesto if you will - is to remove all hopping from trials. Expect to see Manifesto available on nsmb sometime in December, if all goes well. Ryan has 4 short teasers on his Web site, the first 40 seconds of the film, a journal that he keeps up to date, lots of photos and basically everything you could ever want to know about one of the most gifted riders on this blue sphere we call home.
