Vancouver, BC – The newest lift access mountain bike park to the lower mainland now has a month of activity under its belt. The Cypress Mountain Bike Park initially opened July 1, 2005 to great anticipation from the Vancouver area mountain bike community. Rocky Mountain Bicycles is very pleased to be a part of this progression and expansion of what is already heralded as the best mountain biking in the world – Vancouver’s infamous North Shore. Cypress Mountain and Rocky Mountain Bicycles have worked together through the spring to determine the best mix of rental bikes for their inaugural year of operation. Included are RMX, Switch and Flow FS models – all hand-built with the Shore in mind.

Despite many hurdles to developing the bike park, a dedicated team at Cypress Mountain saw the potential, became impassioned about it, and now has plans to develop it further. “We are excited about opening this summer but are most excited about the overall five year plan to really bring the Cypress Mountain Bike Park to level to entice lower mainland riders of all levels. It really is just the beginning. Working with local bicycle manufacturers and their wealth of knowledge like Rocky Mountain Bicycles is really helping the process.” Linda Swain, General Manager, Cypress Bike Park.
