Hailing from Great Britain, this 28 year old former X Games gold medalist is now the defending Tissot-UCI World Cup champion. For the 2003 season, Peat's Orange GT (Great Travel) bikes will be graced with Race Face ISIS cranks, bottom brackets and chainrings as he sets his sites on a repeat of last year's stellar performance.

"Steve's in good company - we've got a lot of high profile DH racers currently running Race Face drivetrains" continues Rutman "Tracey Mosley, Fabien Barel, Dustin Adams, Tara Llanes and Jared Rando are all running our North Shore DH cranks and Signature DH bottom brackets on the World Cup circuit - the same crank/bb combo that Peat will be running. The setup is super stiff so every kilajoule of force coming off Peaty legs gets transferred to his rear wheel."

Steve supplements his DH racing career with select appearances in freeride films and events. Peat was featured in Derek Westerlund's latest instalment in the New World Disorder series. He's also a regular at the Red Bull freeride events, recently taking first place in the Race Down to the Center of the Earth.
