Psychosis 2005

The world's most demented downhill race invades Golden, B.C. for a seventh year

On July 23rd and 24th 2005, the Golden Cycling Club will once again open its arms to the world's most demented downhill mountain bikers. Back with what many consider to be Canada’s, and even North America’s premier downhill mountain bike event, this year's 7th annual Mt.7 Psychosis will set a new precedent with support from Red Bull.

With over 4,000' of vertical and a total of $10,000 in cash prizes, freeriders and seasoned athletes from around the world will make their way to Golden, B.C. in order to challenge the longest, toughest, steepest singletrack downhill course out there.

A nice soft, sandy landing for this unfortunate competitor...

As insane as this infamous course is, everybody can experience it in some way, either from the midway start on the Saturday for a more acceptable dose of adrenalin, or from the top (the Launch Pad) on Sunday for a white-knuckle rush that you won’t forget any time soon.

Even as a spectator, you will get to catch some of the Red Bull team riders hammering down slopes you can’t even walk on and maybe have a word with them as you get around on the shuttle service, a new addition this year.

If you think you have what it takes, log on to Psychosis.ca or GoldenCyclingClub.com for more
information and registration. There are only 50 seats for Saturday’s race, and 200 seats for Sunday’s main event.
