| I'm not much of a gamer so I was surprised to find myself obsessed with mastering a game on the PC. Freeriders - North Shore Spirit caught my fancy and had me wasting vast amounts of time and loving every minute of it. I was amazed by how much it actually felt like I was riding a real bike. I was using my mouse and keyboard but the developers tell me that it feels even more like riding with a game controller. I haven't played Downhill Domination but I have no interest;
a riding game that involves 200 foot airs and hand to hand combat really
isn't a riding game in my books. The heart of Freeriders - North
Shore Spirit is a physics model that approximates our world remarkably
well which makes it all seem quite familiar from the get go. The
basics are easy to master but even on the two demo trails there is a
lot to learn. For now the download is free but soon a paid version with
more trails will be available.
