For 2004, they’ve taken this durable and reliable construction and offer
it to riders of all types with two new models—Candy and Mallet. Made for
XC and All-Mountain riding, the Candy features a fiber composite platform wrapped
around the original Egg Beater design. The Candy is available in a Titanium
spindle version as well as with a stainless steel spindle. The DH and Freeride
design of the Mallet is spec’d with a large aluminum platform surrounding
the proven Egg Beater design. With the 4-sided entry, stainless steel adjustable
traction plates and a chromoly spindle, this pedal is highly functional and
durable.
The unique design of the Egg Beater clipless pedal is again offered this year
in a platform ideal for XC, and road riders of all levels. You can choose from
super lightweight titanium models, like the triple ti, twin ti and ti Egg Beater,
to the affordable Egg Beater S (stainless spindle) and Egg Beater Chrome (chromoly
spindle). No matter which model you choose to ride, all offer the same great
features like 6 degrees of float, open design, grease ports, and 4-sided entry.
