Whistler has the hardcore crowd locked up; if you are an accomplished rider you know about The Whistler Bike Park and you want to be there. For the average Joe or Josie it can be a little intimidating though. From the bottom of the mountain all you can get a good look at is the Boneyard and the Bikercross. Obviously this is going to scare off a segment of the market who may be more than capable of riding B Line or EZ Does It. Introducing a Low-Impact Way to Experience Lift-Accessed Mountain Biking
WHISTLER, BC, June 14, 2005 – For those who prefer to keep both wheels on the ground, the Whistler Mountain Bike Park opens a new beginner area on Saturday, June 18 under the Magic Chair at the base of Blackcomb Mountain. The Magic Bike Park features two wide-flowing trails that provide a low-impact introduction to downhill mountain biking, enabling families and beginners to play with ease on the lower flank of Blackcomb.
