As Ozzie would say...
Climb Aboard! Freight Train's Rolling

We pulled a little April Fools this morning that had people blowing a gasket. I had to go in and add "April Fools" to the end of the article because Whistler's phone was ringing off the hook before 9 am today. To ease the pain some we wanted to let you know what's really happening in the best bike park on this blue marble.

You may have heard the news about Freight Train but I think we're all going to have to ride it to believe it.  The word on the street is that there are 150 opportunities for your bike to leave the ground.  There are gappers, table tops, hips, step downs, step ups -  Whistler has tossed in every possible option to get you in the air for 2200 vertical feet.

If you hook up with Dirt Merchant and A-Line you'll be in the air 200 times from top to bottom.  Just imagine how long it would take you to get in the air that many times at your regular riding spot.  1000 jumps a day is not inconceivable at all.  For those of you who, like me, appreciate the steep and technical Garbanzo has that aplenty.

On top of being generous with air, Whistler is hooking us up with more riding hours as well. From May 21st to June 11th you'll be able to extend your play until 8 pm every Saturday.  From June 15th until September 4th extended play will run Wednesday - Saturday and even some Sundays!

Whistler got 43cm of snow last night so the early opening hopes may be dashed but when things do get rolling we'll be in for a treat!

I have no idea what this is going to be but it looks awesome.  Check the ramp coming into the photo upper right.  Photo - Tom Pro

And don't forget to pick up a BroCard to make Whistler easier on your wallet.

Buckle up - this season's going to be epic.
