Semenuk’s Ride and Other Crankworx Randoms

The Expo Zone at Crankworx is a great way to check out the latest and greatest from nearly every biking company under the sun. Here are a few of the things that caught our eye while walking around the tents on Tuesday.

Downtube Shifter

A shifter mounted on the down tube keeps things from getting overly jumbled up.

Most people use an angle set to help slacken out their bike. Here, it’s vice versa.

Ride Global, Think Local. Chromag Scarab pedals and a Clocker chain ring for Semenuk.

Crankworx Expo, Teva, Whistler, Gear Shots

The Chrome commuter shoe from Teva shares the same rubber sole and waterproofing process as its MTB cousins. No more wet feet after a long ride home from work in the rain.

The Maxxis Shorty is a new AM/DH tire that is designed to help riders find traction in the mud, but still be rideable when things dry out.

Crankworx Expo, Fox Head, Fox Racing, Whistler, Gear Shots

Fox Head’s AIRSPC goggles sport a nose guard to protect your schnoz, and a wider strap to help them stick better. They come in a variety of colours, from “loud” to “it goes to eleven.”

Not everyone was quite ready to rock, and that’s a-OK. Coverage of all things rad will continue throughout the week.

We’ll be shooting plenty more photos as the week goes on and more booths pop up. Has anything out there caught your eye?

Why did Teva name that shoe "Chrome"? There are Chrome brand shoes. I don't think Nike would make an "Adidas" model. Dumb. Also, that looks like a shoe that's gonna get really sweaty inside. Dislike.
