Bros Not Pros - Eamonn Duignan

Click on the images to enlarge.

Eamonn is one of those no respect bastards who come out here from some flat deslolate place (Ontario in this case) and think they can show us how to ride. With a potent combination of talent, balls and hubris Eamonn has been doing just that. In a few short years he has mastered some of the toughest riding on the shore. We'll be profiling his Mom in an upcoming issue.

Remember folks - you wrote the questions!
Note: Questions are in Bold

When did you start riding the shore? What was that first ride like?

I was first introduced to the shore in the summer of '97, and we rode ladies only---and I was blown away! I remember how hyped I was after riding, I could'nt believe what I had just rode. So after a summer of driving back and forth from the shore I decided that I should move to North Van and I've been here ever since.

Tell us about your bike.

She's hot! all black, she even sleeps with me at night. She's a Santa Cruz Bullit, with 2000 boxxers up front and Hope discs for brakes.

What is your favourite food?

Any food that is cooked for me.

Who is your favourite rider?

The usual- Dan, Wade, old man Hansen. Those guys are constantly raising the sport to a new level, and especially Dan with his insane building of sick n' stupid, stunts and trails. Keep up the good work.

What really pisses you off?

The cost of components and accessories»

Why do you ride?

Because there's nothing on TV. Kidding; I ride because in free riding there are no limits or rules, it's like a drug, and I'm a junkie.

What is your favourite website other than this one? (careful here)

There are none

What do you do when you can’t ride?

Work out, snowboard, dream about riding.

Perfect ride ( you get to pick the trail, riders, bikes, conditions ) what’s it gonna be?

The perfect ride would be when everyone i'm riding is going off, tryin’ new stunts bust'n hugh airs and having a great ride

What was your best move ever on a bike?

Haven't done it yet, still holding out for the 720 McChicken

When was the last time you maintained a trail?

Yesterday I was helping with the raising of Dan's newest sickest creation, Mr. skinny - super skyway. I mentioned something earllier about raising the sport to a new level, well Dan is defiantly doing that and more.

Eamonn and Ken Maude

How much maintenance do you do on your own bike?

I try to overlook my bike after every ride or before a ride

Who's your favourite Olympic athlete?

Maelle Ricker

If I were President of the United States……….

If ballroom dancing is considered an olympic sport, down hilling most definitely should be.
