NINJA COUGAR LOOSE IN WHISTLER

New Trail Opening!

WHISTLER, BC, July 28, 2008 – Ninja Cougar has pounced, joining its fellow fighting animal friend, Karate Monkey, in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park’s quest to develop intermediate all mountain trails. The brand new trail opens August 1, 2008.

“Ninja Cougar is characterized by intermediate single track with wide ladder bridges and perfectly sculpted berms,” says Brian Finestone, Whistler Mountain Bike Park Manager. “This blue trail is perfect for the intermediate rider who enjoys sculpted flowy trails or expert riders looking for fast single track experience.”

The first completed section of Ninja Cougar appeared in the movie, Seasons, by The Collective mountain bike film company.

Linking existing intermediate trails, B Line and Karate Monkey, this brand new trail is part of the Whistler Mountain Bike Park’s initiative to build a number of machine made and single track blue trails in both the Fitzsimmon’s and Garbanzo zones. These more flowy trails are designed for all mountain riders who want to hit the park with their own shorter travel bikes.

In total there are more than 25 intermediate or beginner trails in the Whistler Mountain Bike Park and two intermediate/beginner skill zones.

Meanwhile, the Whistler Mountain Bike Park has extended the Sampler Ticket offer indefinitely. The Sampler costs $22 for adults, $20 for youth/senior and $11 for children, and offers riders three chair lift rides – a total of nine possible lift combinations - and access to 250 kilometres of varied terrain.
