Help Out Ryder
Sharpey's needs a Hand
Words by Cam McRae.
I received a message from Jimi Evans -Brockett the other day. This was no surprise since he's been sending me info ever since he took over Sharpey's Cycles in Burnaby B.C. The content of the message was a shock however. I'll let Jimi tell it from here.
"Our 4 year old son Ryder has been in at the Childrens Hospital for the past 24 days and has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain cancer. As we are a family run business, my wife and I have been pulled out of everyday life and the running of the shop to care for our son at the hospital. We are lucky enough to have friends that are trying to do their best to run the shop and keep the doors open but they of course are struggling to keep up at this busy time of year. We wanted to to ask everyone to ask around to see if they know of anyone whould might be kind enough to volunteer a bit of their time to help out at the shop. This can be shop floor or mechanics. Any help would be very much appreciated. We ask for your prayers and positive energy to help our son and our family make it through this. For updates please visit caringbridge.org/visit/ryder
If you think you can help out in some way please email Amanda who is co-ordinating the volunteers.
Hang in there Ryder - we're all pulling for you!
