Magura 2007
LOUISE GETS MAKEOVER, ROTOR GETS SELF-COOLED
Evolving with German Precision
|
Magura USA recently introduced its full line of 2007 hydraulic disc brakes
and all new suspension products.
The most interesting news is a complete makeover for the popular Louise FR
brake, now called Louise BAT and Louise BAT Carbon for '07. In addition, the
innovative Venti-disc rotor has been added to the line.
For 2007 you can get a set of Louises with carbon levers and
resevoir covers. Tool free engagement adjustment (BAT - Bite Adjustment Technology
in Maguraspeak)
The Louise BAT is an all new design and retains all the engineering perfections
of a company with over 100 years of hydraulics experience [Magura was established
in 1893]. Louise BAT is intended for all-mountain, freeride and is even used
in some DH or extreme freeride conditions. Pro team riders and members of the
Magura Mojo Extreme Team include Tyler Klassen, Gareth Dyer, Matt Hunter, Jordie
Lunn, Dylan Tremblay, and Randy Spangler. 'Super-T' Klassen says, "When
I first switched to Magura brakes a few years ago, I found that they helped
me add a tremendous amount of control to my riding that I didn't have with other
brakes. Now, with these new Louise brakes, I can do almost anything with them
and have confidence that they will perform at the highest level." ( Team
nsmb.com has been running Magura brakes this season and rocking them!)
Louise brakes now offer post mounts and the new venti discs
for more efficient cooling and über pimpin' style.
Features for the new brake include powerful braking thanks to a one-piece caliper
design utilizing post mounts and a radial master cylinder and integrated reservoir.
A unique new Magura development, BAT or Bite Adjustment Technology, allows riders
on-the-fly brake engagement control for meticulous adjustment possibilities.
The bling-bling alternative to the Louise BAT is the sweet-looking Louise BAT
Carbon, which is finished off with a carbon fiber cap and lever. Complimenting
the new Louise BAT brakes is the all new Venti-disc rotor option. This rotor
not only looks cool with its red anodized aluminum carrier - it also stays cool
when the carrier's blades act as fans cooling the rotor's surface.
If lycra is the first thing to touch your bits in the morning
these are the brakes for you.
