To turn a plastic wrapper into a park bench is actually transitioning the plastic into a lesser quality material. To market this as upcycling when it’s actually downcyling is green washing at it finest.
How about a real discussion about how disgusting and unnecessary these single use, plastic wrapped “performance” foods are and how the marketing of them is dramatically increasing the amount of waste entering our environment.
To me, the only thing we should consider is how much better the world would be if companies like GU didn’t exist to begin with.
