Exactly. They look doofus and dropper technology has improved so you don't have to worry about ruining them anymore which was also a big plus for fenders back in the day as far as I was concerned. But they still  prevent  that slimy gumbo of mud and rocks on your seat getting  ground into your shorts when you have to ride in slop.

I've gotten to the point where i'm sick and tired coming home after every ride covered in crap and have just ordered 2 of them for my bike - looks be damned.  

I'm already rocking RRPs on the front which are great.  I'm sure my washing machine is going to thank me as well.

Edit - first ride with the rear MH last night and I'm sold.  Its so nice not to have a soggy ass.  Thanks Wade for the nudge.
