The Descent Part II

Nice little 4000 foot descent! lol. Anyway - I liked the vid and the background on the massive flip. What did you think?

Taking things way, way, way off topic...
Remember the riot? Remember Zink and his stupid comments? Remember everybody talking about how things should change moving forward and people should act more responsibly and all that? Not that there is anything irresponsible in this video (actually, I didn't bother watching it), but I remember posing a question to you via the BB at that time, Cam. Around whether this would change the way you covered things in the future RE: Mr. Zink.
It's a few months later now. And nobody seems to remember any of this, now that Cam Zink does rad backflips over large gaps. With a watch on.
Incidentally, anybody know what happened with Alex Pro? I noticed that in the footage that they recycled to celebrate the upcoming riot show trial there was some pretty prevalent footage of him actually flipping a car.

I like the way you said that twice for emphasis.
I guess I better then.
In terms of the way "I cover things re. Mr. Zink" there aren't really many opportunities for me to do that. In terms of riders I'd want to do an interview with or write about extensively, aside from events, he's not really on our radar. He's undoubtedly a talented and remarkably ballsy rider, but in terms of a personality he's not really someone I gravitate toward. His story of coming back after a terrible injury prone period to dominate the big contests is interesting but based on what I've seen him talk about in the past I wouldn't imagine his commentary about that would be profound.
So will I continue to post press releases and videos that mention him? I will when I think they are of interest to our readers. And will I continue to not have much other reason to mention him unless we happen to be at an event where he features prominently? I don't think his unfortunate comments regarding AP, nor his back-pedalling afterwards, has much to do with that sort of coverage. And while I don't condone his comments nor his inability to identify the seriousness of Alex's situation, I'm not of the opinion that his lack of judgement was surprising or all that terrible.
Zink doesn't pretend to be squeaky clean and I doubt he cares much about what you or I think about him.

He's still a great rider.....I actually like Strait's style in the video. Looks more comfortable than Zink.
