We knew it was happening but I was hoping for the spring.  Unfortunately things are moving forward with the Rodgers Creek Development and we knew all along that one of the sweetest lines on Cypress - Family Guy - would be a casualty.  It's not all doom and gloom because it seems like many of the remaining trails will be spared or re-routed.  The cutting is scheduled to begin on January 5th.

Because British Pacific Properties and the District of West Van are being very cooperative with mountain bikers we ask that all riders comply once the closed signs are erected.  So it looks like the last rides on Family Guy may be snow rides - which isn't so bad at all.

 And then it gets steep.

This is a tough loss.  There are few lines on the Shore with as much speed and flow as Family Guy but I guess we were lucky to have it as long as we did.
