Dear Wade Contest
Win a Trip To Costa Rica with Wade
Words by Chris Winter.
Date: 2008-11-18
NSMB has teamed up with Wade Simmons and Big Mountain Bike Adventures and created an art contest that’ll get you stoked to ride. And if you win, you’ll be really, REALLY stoked to ride. And if you don’t win, we’re sure that you’ll at least be entertained.

The grand prize is sick: a 9-day DH trip with Wade in Costa Rica. That’s right, you get to hang and ride with the Godfather of Freeride on some of the sweetest DH trails on the planet in mid-winter.
How to enter?
It’s simple. Send Wade 100 words or less and 1 photo and explain why you deserve to ride with him in Costa Rica. And don’t bore the Godfather; he wants you to think outside the box and be creative. The photo might not even be a photo, but a drawing or a finger painting. Whatever it is, put some sweet words to it, make it relevant and pull it all together somehow.

How the winner is chosen?
Wade will be choosing the top 10 entries and randomly drawing the grand prize winner’s name from his hat. The winner will be chosen January 14, 2009 at precisely 11:59 am. Go to NSMB.com often as Wade will share some of his favourite entries along the way.

The prize details: valued at $3500 Canadian bucks
9-days of ripping with Wade and local professional guides and support
All shuttles and 4-star accommodation (based on double occupancy)
All dinners and breakfasts, detailed pre-departure information and a Big Mountain t-shirt
A Dakine Apex riding bag and a slick Sombrio jersey, shorts and gloves
Oh, and Wade’s going to lend you a brand new 2009 Rocky Mountain Flatline DH bike for the trip. Trip dates: February 21-March 1, 2009.
Want to borrow a bike? How about a 2009 Rocky Mountain Flatline.
The top 9 entries will each receive a Sombrio jersey and Big Mountain T-shirt.
What’s not included? Flight to San Jose, full-face helmet, pedals, armour and riding gear and enough money for lunches and beer. Don’t worry, return flights to San Jose won’t break the bank – for example, from Vancouver BC you’ll pay around $1000 Canadian and from Denver, Colorado, around $685 USD.
