Hey everyone, I just finished editing the AirPrentice video so here it is!…but first you have to read about the event.
We arrived at the Fairmont in whistler on Friday for the third time! (thanks Jay) for the 4th annual AirPrentice. Last year I was a runner up in the contest and I knew what it was going to take to win it this year. The riders list was pretty awsome, so all of the team were super excited to see what day 1 held for us.
Everyone showed up at the base of the mountain at 9:00am where we sorted out all the riders and got things ready to roll. At 10:30 we hit the mountain for a couple runs and before we knew it riders were 3′ing the jumps on A line! We then headed over to Crabapple Hits where no foot cans and superseaters were the trick of choice. After shooting Crabapple we headed down for lunch at the Bike and Bean. As normal the goal was to get as close to using all $10 of the food voucher with out going over. Jay Sinclair got just over $10 dollars, but they were nice enough to let him just pay the $10…so i guess he wins.
After lunch we hit the bone yard dirt jumps. This is where the riding took off. Kyle Hansen took the tittle of “line of the day” with a 360 to x-up to back flip in the set. Other tricks were barspins, no foot cans, super seaters and even a couple attempted tailwhips.
After day one we all had a nice dinner and went out and were good boys.
The Next morning all the riders arrived at the base of the mountain, some more hungover than others, but all ready to ride. We did one run down joyride, top to bottom, to make sure everyone could shred the tech trails and then went straight to the bone yard. The rest is history… or should i say video?
Congrats to Mitch for the win.
